The Art of Arches
The moongate arch is a traditional architectural element rooted in ancient Chinese garden culture.
In recent years, there has been a rise in the popularity of this shape for arches being used for weddings and special celebrations. We have quite brazenly given ourselves the title of 'Queens of the Moongate Arch' simply because we have done so many different designs over the past two years. It is such a popular choice for our wedding clients.
One of the possible reasons is its versatility of being able to be used as both a ceremony and sweetheart table/top table backdrop. For some of our weddings, we have actually resused the moongate arch from the ceremony for the reception when both have been held at the same venue.
We love the challenge of using the same frame but then coming up with unique designs each and every time. We have tried so many different looks, such as maximum drama by leaving much of it exposed, to creating a whimsical design with abundant foliage and garden flowers.
On our Instagram page, we have an Insta Stories section, dedicated just to footage of some of our favourite arches for you to feast your eyes on. Do check it out... Before you do, here are a few more!
Bye for now, see you on the 1st of next month!
